Baroda - Manipal School of Banking has been set up jointly by Bank of Baroda and Manipal group. The school has been set up to attract bright young graduates to a career in Banking with Bank of Baroda where they are first trained in Banking and Finance before their embarking on the Banking career. The students go through a one –year full-time residential training programme which is conducted at the Baroda Manipal school of Banking campus at Bangalore. Those who successfully complete this one year intensive programme are awarded a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and are absorbed as Probationary officers in the Bank in JMG/S-I.

The selection process for admissions to BMSB for the year 2012-13 is hereby initiated. Application link for making online applications for participating in the selection exercise for admissions to BMSB will be available at www.barodamanipalschoolofbanking.com from 7th June’2012 to 21st June’2012. Applications invited from aspiring and eligible students. Last date for submitting applications is 21st June’2012.

How to register
Interested applicants must pay Rs.400(gen/obc/exsm) or Rs.50(sc/st/pwd) as application fees through
- Offline: Fill the challan given at the website, visit any branch of bank of baroda, deposit the amount into the mentioned account & collect the challan`s counterfoil
- Online: The application form is integrated with an online payment gateway.Pay via debit or credit card & take a print of the transaction receipt as proof.
Final placement at Bank of Baroda:
All students after successful completion of the course will be awarded the “POST-GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN BANKING AND FINANCE” from Manipal University at a convocation ceremony where they shall also be handed over the final appointment letters from the Bank. Accordingly, they will be finally absorbed in the Bank as Probationary officers in JMG/S-I and can be posted anywhere in India as per Bank’s discretion.
Emoluments on final placement:-
After successful completion of the Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance in the Baroda Manipal School of Banking and subsequent placement in Bank of Baroda, candidates will draw a salary as applicable to officers in Junior Management Grade/ Scale I which is presently in the scale of Rs. 14500-600x7/18700-700x2/20100-800x7/25700. They will also be eligible for DA, HRA/rent reimbursement & CCA, as per rules in force from time to time. At present, the initial monthly emoluments of Junior Management Grade/ Scale I Officer, including DA, HRA, CCA are approximately Rs. 23,000/- in a Metropolitan Centre.
The gross annual salary on joining the bank will be in the range of approx.Rs. 3 lacs p.a. (Salary component) in a metropolitan centre. Additionally, officers in JMG/S-I are also entitled to various benefits / perquisites, facilities from the Bank like various reimbursements/perquisites, concessional loan facilities for different purposes, LTC / LFC, holiday home, medical facilities for self and dependant family members, etc.
The above mentioned salary / perquisites, benefits, etc. may increase further in future, by the time the candidate actually joins the service of the Bank after the one year programme duration period.
The entire fee amount will be reimbursed by Bank after completion of certain number of years of service with the Bank, as shown below, as a sort of ‘loyalty bonus’.
Fee reimbursement will be carried out by the bank following Completed number of years from the date of joining
After 5 years : Rs. 3.15 lakhs
After 7 years : Rs. 1 lakh
Hence, on completion of 60 months / 84 months of service with Bank of Baroda, the Bank will make reimbursements, which will cover the entire loan amount (Rs. 3.15 lacs + interest)
