Trade and Investment Adviser, UK Trade and Investment

Job Title (including Dept): Trade and Investment Adviser
Location: British High Commission, New Delhi
Grade of Job: LE B3
Role : To assist the UK businesses in the Education & Skills, Healthcare, Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals sectors to increase their competitiveness in the Indian market, and to help Indian companies setting up in the UK.
EDUCATION: A degree or equivalent qualification or the ability to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and skill
Essential: Bachelors degree
Preferred: Masters Degree/Diploma (full or part time) in Business Management/Healthcare/Education
EXPERIENCE:
Essential: At least 2-4 years of relevant experience with a reputed organisation
Preferred: Experience in Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology and Education sectors

Head of Consular Section, Southern India

Job Title (including Dept): Trade and Investment Adviser
Location: British Deputy High Commission, Chennai
Grade of Job: B3/LEII, Permenant
Starting Salary: Rs 35,705/- 58,252/- per month (negotiable depending on the expertise and experience); together with a benefits package.
Role : An exciting opportunity to lead a small team and a Consular Warden network providing consular assistance to British nationals in distress across Southern India (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry and Tamil Nadu).

Head of Business Development, Scottish Development International (South India)

Job Title (including Dept): Head of Business Development
Location: British Deputy High Commission, Hyderabad
Grade of Job: LEI/ C4
Starting Salary: Rs 64333/- to Rs 94154/- per month depending upon the qualification and experience, together with a benefits package (which includes 12% provident fund and 6% special allowance/superannuation fund).
Role : The job holder will be responsible for developing trade and foreign direct investment. The individual will have lead involvement in delivering trade and investment projects covering SDI’s priority sectors – life sciences and ICT.

Lead on VIP visits including senior SDI management, cabinet level Scottish Ministers, trade delegation visits to India and cultivate and maintain senior level business client relationships in pursuit of high level investment for Scotland.

Qualification : Business related degree/MBA or 5+ years experience in international trade, consultancy or economic development experience with expertise in Life Sciences, ICT and Energy sectors.
