Vacancy Details:

RailTel offers career opportunities to bright, young and dynamic professionals and invites applications from Indian citizens for recruitment in Technical, Marketing and Personnel & Administration departments . The details of the vacancy position are as givenbelow in this vacancy notice.

Dy. Manager (Tech) : 100 posts (E -1)
Full-time regular Degree in BE/B.Tech in Electronics & Communications or Electronics or Electrical or Electrical & Electronics or Instrumentation & Electronics or Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Information Technology obtained from a recognized university/ deemed university incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature in India or from institution recognized/approved by AICTE or any other accrediting organisations under the Government of India with minimum 60% marks in aggregate
(average of all semesters/years).


Dy. Manger (Marketing) : 31 posts (E -1)
Full time regular Degree in BE/B.Tech./B.Sc. alongwith MBA (Mktg/ IT/ Telecom) or Post Graduate Programme in Management (Mktg/ IT/Telecom) i.e. (two year full-time regular course) or equivalent qualification, obtained from a recognized university/ deemed university incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature in India or from institutions recognized/approved by AICTE or any other accrediting organisations under the Government of India. Here „Equivalent‟ means the full-time Post Graduate Programmes of duration of two years certified to be equivalent to MBA degree by accrediting institutions under the Government of India in the area of management education.

Dy. Manager (P&A) : 5 posts (E -1)
Masters in Business Administration (Human Resources/Personnel Management) or Post Graduate Program in Management in HRM (two–year full-time regular course) or equivalent qualification, obtained from a recognized university/ deemed university incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature in India or from institutions recognized/approved by AICTE or any other accrediting  organisations under the Government of India. Here „Equivalent‟ means the full-time Post Graduate Programmes of duration of two years certified to be equivalent to MBA degree by accrediting organisations under the Government of India in the area of management education.

Manager (P&A) : 2 posts (E -2)
Masters in Business Administration (Human Resources /Personnel Management) or Post Graduate Program in Management in HRM/PM (two-year full-time regular course) or equivalent qualification, obtained from a recognized university/ deemed university incorporated by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature in India or from institutions recognized/approved by AICTE or any other accrediting organisations under the Government of India with an post-qualification experience of minimum two years in a reputed organization.

Here Equivalent means the full-time Post Graduate Programmes of duration of two years certified to be equivalent to MBA degree by accrediting Institutions under the Government of India in the area of management education.


AGE LIMITS: The candidates must be between 21 - 28 years of age for all the posts on the date of closing of on-line registration.

Scale of pay & CTC (at the beginning of the scale):

i) E-1 level: 16400-40500 (IDA); Annual CTC at the beginning of the scale is Rs. 5.3 lakh to 6.00 lakh (approx) depending upon the Performance Related Pay limited to 40% (max).

ii) E-2 level: 20600-46500 (IDA); Annual CTC at the beginning of the scale is Rs. 6.7 lakh to 7.60 lakh (approx) depending upon Performance Related Pay limited to 40% (max).

Opening date for on-line registration of application : 04-06-2012 (08:00 Hrs)
Last date for completion of Step-I of on-line registration : 21-06-2012 (23:59 Hrs)
Last date for depositing examination fee at State Bank of India : 23-06-2012
Last date for completion of Step-II of on-line registration and closing of registration : 25-06-2012 (23.59 Hrs.)

Selection process involves written test of two hours duration followed by interview of the shortlisted candidates. The written test will comprise of 100 objective type questions with multiple choice answers, out of which 60 questions shall be on professional subjects and 40 questions to judge general awareness, quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning and General English.

The examination will be conducted at Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad and Guwahati. Candidates should exercise options of the test city in the on-line application form. No change of test city/test centre will be permissible at a later date. RailTel, for administrative reasons, however, reserves the right to direct the candidate to appear for written test at any test city other than the one chosen by the candidate.

HOW TO APPLY:

Candidates are required to apply On-line through RAILTEL website in English only. No other means/mode of submission of applications will be accepted under any circumstances. The on-line registration process involves 2 steps for successful registration of the application.

Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID. It should be kept active during the currency of this recruitment process.

Registration number, password, admit card for written test and Interview call letter or any other important communication will be sent on the same registered e-mail ID of candidate. The candidates are, therefore, requested to check regularly their e-mail for any communication from RAILTEL. Under no circumstances, the candidate should share/mention e-mail ID or password to/ or any other candidate / person. Please note that the admit card for written test will not be sent by post.

The candidates should ensure the completion of Step 1 and Step 2 of the registration process and depositing of examination fee in any branch of State Bank of India by the stipulated date and time

Application fee : The application fee for candidates belonging to UR and OBC categories is Rs 500/- and is non-refundable nor can be held in reserve for any other examination or selection. For remittance of fee the candidate will need to visit any branch of State Bank of India for depositing the fee through pre-printed challan which can be printed by the candidates after they complete the Step-I of the registration process. Transaction charges of the bank over and above the application fee shall be borne by the candidate.
